Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me…"

Matthew 19:14

Kingdom Kids Children's Ministry meets during Chapel Falls’ regularly scheduled Sunday services and seeks to parallel the adult services in many ways.  The children participate in developmentally appropriate praise and worship, Bible teaching, prayer, recreation, crafts, missions training, and fellowship times. All lessons taught in Sunday School encourage memorization of Scripture and are specifically designed to spiritually reach the heart of every child, with opportunities for individual salvation, even at young ages.

Our Vision Is To:

  • Share the “Good News of the Gospel” with kids (John 3:16, John 1:12) so they know what salvation is
  • Teach the Word of God to children (Ephesians 4:12) so they know it and can apply it to daily life
  • Develop spiritual growth in boys and girls (Matthew 28:18-20) to prepare them to be sent out as disciples for Jesus

The Bible teaches that children are indeed a gift from God, and it is our desire to reach them with Christ’s love as directed by Mark 10:13-16:

Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them… "Let the little children come to Me and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God…" And he took them up in His arms and, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.

Sign-in

All parents or guardians should sign-in their children in their respective classrooms. Once service is over, you can go directly to your child's classroom and sign him or her out. Please be sure to sign and print your name, as well as print your child’s name. We do give snack each service, so please list any allergies, contact phone number (a cell where we could text you would be helpful), and other pertinent information on the sign-in sheet. ONLY the parent or guardian who did the sign-in can pick up and sign-out (unless otherwise specified at time of check in). We ask that you please be prompt when picking up after services and that all belongings be taken with your child at that time.

10:30 – Check-in, welcome, and fellowship time
10:45 – Worship (please enter quietly)

Sunday School Classes

Kingdom Troopers (Ages 0-2)

This class is designed for babies to children 2 years old.  This class is designed to show the love of Christ and teach the Bible at a level appropriate for very young children.  It is at the discretion of the teachers, the Children’s Ministry leader and Assistant as to when a child is developmentally ready to move up to Kingdom Patrol.

Kingdom Patrol (Ages 3-6)

This class is designed for children 3 to 6 years old. Classes will teach God’s Word through interactive Bible study, crafts, activities, missions instruction, and worship.  Bible studies will follow a scope and sequence through the Old and New Testaments.

Kingdom Cadets (Ages 7-11)

For our 7 to 11 year olds, our desire is for them to begin to seek God’s will and purpose for their lives individually. Cadets will have opportunities to make friends in Christ, be led to open their hearts for worship, learn how to study the Bible independently, and learn how to relate the Word of God to their lives and current situations. Bible studies will follow a scope and sequence through the Old and New Testaments.

Fire Escape Teen Class (Ages 12-17)

Our youth group-aged kids have their own class. They join the congregation in the sanctuary for worship and are dismissed to their class during announcements.

Midweek Class

We offer a class for kids ages 5 to 11 during our Thursday evening Midweek Service. Please note that there is no Nursery on Thursday evenings.

Policies and Procedures

Sickness Policy

It is a blessing that you do not like to miss church, but in preparation for church, please make sure that your child is feeling healthy. Influenza (Flu) and other viruses can be easily spread from person to person. Therefore, we are taking steps to reduce the spread of illness in each of our classrooms. We need your help to do this. Our teachers have been instructed to only take well children into the classroom. If your child is sick, please keep him/her at home in order to give him/her the love and attention needed, and also that he/she may not infect other children.

Please note: If your child has a continually runny nose or rash due to non-contagious allergies, please inform the teachers of this condition, as we realize that some symptoms “hang on” long after your child is no longer contagious. Remember that all we want is for all of our children to remain healthy and happy.

Disciplinary Policy

Children participating in the various Sunday School classes are expected to comply with the classroom expectations for their specific age group. Teachers will make all age appropriate expectations known to the children and will clearly state the consequences if not obeyed. They will also relay any significant behavior issues, if there are any, to the parents when the child is picked up. If a child’s behavior becomes particularly disruptive during class time, the teacher will ask an usher, classroom assistant, or children’s ministry leader to please get the child’s parent immediately.

Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency, such as a fire alarm or an emergency situation where we must evacuate the building, all teachers will quickly and calmly organize the children and exit the building at the nearest exit. The children will be led to the outside field area for immediate pick-up.
